Interested in Serving on the B. Iden Payne Awards Council?
We are now accepting applications for new council members for the 2011-2012 season.
For the past 37 years, the B. Iden Payne Awards Council has held the responsibility of viewing eligible theatrical productions in Austin and nominating those outstanding production elements for the B. Iden Payne Awards. The council is made up of artists and enthusiastic patrons of various backgrounds. Theatrical training is not essential, as attending and creating theatre are equally valid qualifications.
Responsibilities of Council Members Include:
•Commit to see an average of four plays per month during the season
•Actively participate in the nomination meetings held every six weeks, usually Monday evenings
•We strongly encourage council members to participate in at least one B. Iden Payne Council Committee. Committees include: Fundraising and Development, Marketing and Publicity, Rules and Means*
•Submission of a tax deductible donation of $50 to the B. Iden Payne Council. This donation helps fund our annual awards ceremony
•Regular online access to receive emails, calendar invitations and other communications
•Full term service during the Production Season, September 1-August 31

*We are particularly interested in applicants with the following skills: fundraising/development, IT experience, marketing and publicity, nonprofit administration, legal\and accounting backgrounds.
