The B. Iden Payne Awards Council, a sponsored project of Austin Creative Alliance, is an organization composed of volunteers tasked with viewing and nominating outstanding production elements in Austin theatre. The B. Iden Payne Awards, named in honor of British theatre director and University of Texas professor, B. Iden Payne, are awarded annually to recognize outstanding contributions to the Austin theatre community.
